This week in Year 5, we have been looking at Calligraphy and how it is used in Islam. We studied a picture of the Jara Mosque in Tunisia and looked at how calligraphy is used on the outside of the building as ‘calligraffiti’ and how that might attract people to visit the site. We then created our own versions, by drawing our own places of worship and using Ms Yao’s calligraphy pens which we were very lucky to use.
