Year 2 had a wonderful time at St Pancras Church this week. We were treated to a bespoke workshop where, in small groups, the children were guided around the church to explore its different features and learn about their meaning and purpose.
The visit provided a valuable hands on opportunity for the children to consolidate their learning from RE lessons. They explored key parts of the church, asked thoughtful questions and developed a deeper understanding of Christian worship and traditions.
A particular highlight was the question and answer session, which encouraged the children to think carefully about faith, belief and identity. They discussed similarities and differences between religions, shared their own ideas respectfully and demonstrated impressive curiosity and maturity. It was wonderful to see the children becoming young philosophers as they reflected on some big questions about faith and life.
Thank you to everyone at St Pancras Church for such a warm welcome and for providing such an engaging and informative experience. We are very grateful for the time and care that went into making the visit so memorable.
