Welcome to Nursery! We have an exciting half-term of learning ahead. Since it is our first term, our focus will be settling into the routines and expectations that follow being at school. Our first units of learning are ‘Nursery Rhymes’ and ‘ Me and My Family’. This links well with our RE unit of learning ‘Who am I?’ As well as focusing on lots of stories centred on these units of learning, we will also be playing in the indoor and outdoor areas, exploring messy play, and getting to know our friends and teachers. In Maths, we will be working with numbers up to 5 and looking at different types of patterns. We will also be doing lots of fun and interesting creative art activities. In phonics, we will begin with environmental sound identification and discrimination.
