This half term in Nursery, our units of learning will be People Who Help Us and Water. We will be learning about the important people who help us in our community, including vets and emergency services, while also exploring the wonderful world of water and sea life.

Our key stories this term include Emergency, Vet, The Rainbow Fish and Mr Seahorse, which will inspire our learning through role play, discussions, art and creative activities.

In Maths, we will be developing our counting skills by counting on from any number, as well as exploring patterns and learning about 3D shapes.

In History, we will look at emergency vehicles from the past and compare them to the vehicles we use today. In Geography, we will begin to learn about different bodies of water, including seas and waterfalls, and talk about their features.

In Art and DT, the children will enjoy sketching and drawing landscapes of the local area using points and lines. We will also be designing and making boats before testing whether they sink or float in water.

We are looking forward to a fun and exciting half term full of exploration, creativity and discovery!
