What an exciting start to our new Unit of Learning, Once Upon a Time!

This week, we made a mysterious discovery in our classroom! We found a basket containing a blanket, an apple and a letter, alongside some rather unusual footprints. But who could they belong to?

We became detectives, sharing our ideas and making predictions using the clues. We discovered that our mystery visitor had enormous ears, sharp teeth and enormous paws! Could it be a wolf?

We were concerned that this mysterious creature might still be wandering around our school, so we decided that we needed to warn everyone! We got busy creating our own warning posters, using drawings and, for some of us, labels to describe what everyone should be looking out for.

Through this exciting experience, we used our imaginations, developed our speaking and listening skills, made predictions and gave meaning to our drawings and writing. We also enjoyed sharing our ideas and working together across Nursery and Reception.

Keep your eyes peeled – there might be a wolf about!
