This week, Year 1 took part in our exciting Poetry Slam! The children worked incredibly hard to learn and practise their poems before performing them in front of the whole school.
We were lucky to work with poet Neal Zetter, who visited Year 1 to help the children develop their performances and gave them valuable feedback. The children listened carefully to his advice and grew in confidence with every rehearsal.
During the performance, Year 1 spoke clearly and confidently, using excellent intonation, expression and actions to bring their poems to life. They should all be incredibly proud of themselves for showing such courage, enthusiasm and teamwork.
Well done, Year 1. You were fantastic!
