Our school had a break-in on Tuesday evening – it was the tiger who came for all of our tea and biscuits!

As the children entered the classroom on Wednesday morning they immediately noticed a big mess next to the door, as well as some footprints leading to other messes in the classroom. The children then pretended to be detectives – putting on their detective hats and vests first of course!

Afterward, they had to follow the footprints to find clues. There were five clues – 1 for each of the letters in the tiger’s name! After they had found all of the clues the children then brought them to the carpet.

On the carpet we used our knowledge of letters and sounds, as well as blending, to work out who made the big mess! The mystery was solved.
