This week Year 6 took part in the Junior Citizenship Scheme run by Transport for London. They took part in workshops run by Arsenal Football Club, London Fire Brigade, The Metropolitan Police, Ambulance Service and the TFL Safe Travel team.

During these sessions they learnt about what it means to stay safe in the event of a fire or medical emergency and how to deal with emergencies. They also discussed the correct and safe ways to travel on the different TFL services and how to get and use a Zip card.

Later in the session they talked to a police officer about keeping safe online and the dangers that exist online, including giving out personal information and the consequences that can occur as a result.

Our Year 6s earned points throughout the afternoon (competing against groups from another school) and one of our groups were crowned champions thanks to their participation and great questions!
