Positive affirmations and self-worth

“Talk to yourself as you would talk to someone you love.” This was the message of our lesson today.

In PSHE the children discussed the importance of positive affirmations.

They recognised that being kind to themselves and saying nice things about themselves made them feel more confident and happier. We discussed the meaning of self-worth.

We practiced some positive affirmations and repeated phrases such as, “I am kind” and “I am amazing”.

There was an obvious sense of lifted self-worth in the class and I hope all the Year 2s believe in how wonderful they are.

“I am unique” Keleah- Dash
