Year 1 enjoyed an exciting visit to the CLC, where they took part in a publishing workshop inspired by the traditional tale Little Red Riding Hood. Using their imagination and creativity, the children created their own stories based on the familiar characters, developing their storytelling, writing and publishing skills throughout the day. The workshop provided an engaging opportunity for Year 1 to apply their literacy learning in a real-world context. They carefully planned their ideas, considered their audience and used technology to bring their stories to life. We were incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, creativity and resilience the children demonstrated as they worked collaboratively and independently to become young authors. It was a fantastic experience that helped to foster a love of reading and writing while building confidence in communicating ideas creatively whilst using computing skills.
