Welcome to the Summer Term in Year 4!
We’re looking forward to another exciting term full of learning and new experiences.
In Maths, we will be learning about decimals and continuing to work hard on our times tables as we prepare for the Multiplication Tables Check (MTCs) later in the year.
In Science, our topic will be Habitats, where we will explore how different animals live and survive in their environments. As part of this topic, we are very excited to be going on a trip to London Zoo to see the animals and their habitats in real life.
In English, we will be taking part in Debate Week, where pupils will learn how to take part in a healthy debate, share their ideas respectfully, and listen to different viewpoints. We will also be writing persuasive discussion texts, developing our skills in presenting balanced arguments.
In History, we will be learning about Ancient Rome, discovering what life was like for the Romans and exploring how Britain was shaped by Roman influence.
In RE, we will continue our learning about Hinduism, building on what we have already explored and deepening our understanding of Hindu beliefs and practices.
We’re excited for a wonderful summer term filled with curiosity, discussion, and discovery
