This week year six began to construct their motorised box cars for their Design and Technology project. They had to design their models, use a saw to create the car’s chassis and measured and cut wooden rods to build their axles. The children enjoyed using a bench vice to secure their models and were able to record and explain all of the steps that were needed to complete their motorised car.

After this session, I challenge anybody to find another year six child who can saw more efficiently than our very own Evie – St. Mary’s and St. Pancras primary school champ.
