This week, year six has completed their diorama boxes that depicted the horror stories that they have written during the literacy hour.

In our school, we believe that art and design embody some of the highest forms of creativity. We also believe that this can provide wonderful opportunities for the students to generate ideas in all of the subjects outside of art and design.

Not only did these lessons allow our children to learn in a more creative atmosphere, it gave year six a chance to work collaboratively, use a variety of materials and practice how to  measure and alter components that would be put together to produce a final project.
