In our first RE unit of learning, we are exploring the Christian belief that God created the world. We began with the question, “Who made our wonderful world?”, sharing our thoughts and listening to one another’s ideas. We then ventured into the garden to discover the wonders of nature, looking closely at the trees, flowers, leaves and insects around us.
We chose things that caught our attention and drew them from observation, taking time to notice their shapes, colours and tiny details. As we drew, we talked about our discoveries, asked questions and explored which things Christians believe God made. Through these conversations, we are beginning to understand why Christians see the world as a precious gift. We also reflected on how we can care for living things and help look after our wonderful world.
