Today, we were very lucky to have collaborated with Year 2! We learnt all about the Summer Solstice and produced wonderful artwork.
First, we soaked our paper with water so that it would be ready for the watercolours.
Next, we chose colours to represent sunsets. We carefully made long, wide strokes along the paper and blended our colours together.
Later, we developed our knowledge of the Summer Solstice by understanding the alignment of the sun at Stonehenge. We then carefully teared black paper to create the stones.
