This week in science, the year six students were asked to identify and name the main parts of the human circulatory system; describe the functions of the heart, blood vessels and blood; and then recognise how a healthy or unhealthy diet can impact your heart rate and blood pressure.

After they learned why the heart pumps blood around the body, our students began to investigate the correlation between exercise and heart rate. They made their own predictions, recorded their date and drew out their results in a series of tables and bar graphs.  As you can see, the classroom teacher made a real effort as well!
