Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed their combined visit to both St Pancras Square Library and Camley Street Natural Park.
We saw the wonderful collection of books and activities available to all library members. Many were amazed and delighted to learn that joining the library and borrowing the books is completely free… if you join. Don’t worry parents and carers, a joining form is in their bags today! Join the library to get a special library card and use a fabulous local space with so many wonderful books and more!
After a short book was read to us, we then ventured over to Camley Street Natural Park for an outdoor story all about the important jobs of bugs.
We created word banks as we explored the space whilst meeting the local wildlife. Coots, moorhens, worms, pond skaters and many more organisms were spotted; even a newt we named Norbert.
We then created short stories and had a good laugh at all the possibilities creative writing outside can bring.
We are very grateful to our local friends at the library and Camley Street.
