This week, Year 4 have been working really hard in English creating nonsensical words, whilst creating their own version of ‘Jabberwocky’ by Lewis Carroll. Although initially daunted by the task, the children really embraced the silly sounds and enjoyed creating their own poem. (Below are some of the images the children have drawn and annotated of their own “Jabberwock”).

In Maths, we have wrapped up addition and subtraction by using the inverse operation when checking our work. We are very excited about moving onto Area next week and starting something new.

In History, we learnt about how the children had to work in mills, mines and fields as scarecrows.
