Year 2 have been having lots of fun with practical maths this week! We have been focusing on counting in tens and even created our very own human number line all the way to 100!
We have also been learning about estimating and using number lines to help us make sensible estimates. The children have enjoyed using a range of practical resources and manipulatives to support their learning.
One of our favourite activities was ‘Make Ten’, where the children built towers of ten using multilink cubes and then used blocks of ten to make different numbers that were called out. It has been a fantastic week of hands-on maths learning!
