We have been subtracting 2 digit numbers and crossing the tens.
We used base 10 to help us, which is what you can see in the pictures.
We played a game in pairs to be the first to get to zero. If we run out of ones- we must exchange!
Ask your children to explain how one ten is the same as ten ones.
Can they show you the action we have for that?
