We have had another busy and exciting week in Year 1!
In English, we continued exploring our story, Beegu. The children created missing posters to help find Beegu. They thought carefully about what she looks like and used describing words in their writing. We also practised using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.
In History, we have been learning about toys from the past and comparing them with the toys we play with today. The children examined different toys, discussed what they were made from and looked for clues to help decide whether they were old or new. They shared some fantastic ideas!
In Science, we investigated everyday materials. We went on a materials hunt to find objects made from fabric, wood, metal, plastic and glass. We also used words such as dull and shiny to describe their properties.
Well done, Year 1, for another wonderful week of learning! 😊
