This week we had the best experience in Year 5. We kindly were invited to Regents High School by Mr Smart to enjoy a day of enrichment and experience real secondary school lessons. We started the day with an introduction to the school. We then moved into the science lab, where we met a teacher who gave us a practical lesson on electro-magnetism. We learnt that this was physics and we carried out an experiment, testing a hypothesis and building our own electro-magnets. We then went to go and have a delicious lunch from the school canteen. After this, we moved to one of the food technology rooms, where we made chocolate chip shortbread! We washed up too. Finally, we got a tour of the theatre and learnt about what it is used for in Regents High. Thanks so much to Regents High for such a fantastic day.
