As we have started off our Unit of Learning into Ancient Greece, we had a great time to put one of the core concepts that we have learnt to action this week. It was time for our school council elections and we started off by discussing the definition of Democracy and why it was important in Athens in Ancient Greece and why it was not used in Sparta. We then listened to the speeches from each of our school council candidates and then voted fairly to elect our two candidates. Congratulations to Year 5 SFC: Winta and Kimoni.
