This week, Year 4 stepped back in time with a visit to the Ragged School Museum in Mile End. The highlight of the day was a lesson led by a stern Victorian teacher, brought to life by a brilliant actress who didn’t crack a smile! The children experienced what it was like to be a child in Victorian times, from writing on slates to standing up when called upon. It was a strict classroom, and a big contrast to their usual lessons! Everyone learned a lot about what school was like in the 19th century and most of the class left feeling very grateful to be learning in 2025!

This trip was very fun.
