This week our children paid a visit to the ‘Are you M.A.D.’ business centre so that they could learn about the importance of recycling.
After our sessions, we were given a new awareness of not only how recycling prevents waste but how much of an impact to the planet a lack of recycling can make.
We also learned that education holds the key to addressing the benefits of recycling and that new technologies allow us to recreate toys, clothes and building materials that are made out of plastics that are normally thrown away. Without exposure to these types of centres, the next generation will not be aware of the significant environmental impact of their waste and will be uneducated about the fact that many items can be recycled into new products.
