This week in Nursery, we had a wonderful time learning all about Elmer the Elephant, a colourful and cheerful character who celebrates being different.
We explored colours in lots of exciting ways. One of our favourite activities was using Skittles and water to create a beautiful rainbow! We watched closely as the water dissolved the colour coating on the sweets, it was like magic. We also made our very own Elmer mosaics using coloured lasagna sheets. We had fun naming the colours and experimenting with mixing them to discover what new colours we could create.
Our learning didn’t stop with colours, we had some lovely conversations about what makes each of us special and unique, just like Elmer. The children shared what makes them them, and we celebrated our differences together.
It has been a bright, colourful week full of creativity, curiosity and kindness.
