This term in Nursery, our unit of learning has been Heroes and Heroines. The children decided that they wanted to become Eco Superheroes, helping to look after our planet.
We talked about how everyone can be a hero by caring for the environment. The children learned that simple actions can make a big difference. Our Eco Superhero jobs included:
Turning the lights off when they are not needed
Saving water by turning taps off properly
Learning which materials can be recycled.
The children explored different materials and discussed which items can go in the recycling bin. They were very excited to share their ideas and showed great understanding of how to help protect the environment.
We then created some wonderful new things from junk modelling.
We are so proud of our Nursery Eco Superheroes for working together and learning how to care for our world.
