Our Year 2  had a wonderful time at the Camden Learning Centre, where they became budding film-makers for the day!

The theme of their films? The Great Fire of London; our unit of learning in history this term. To begin, the children shared everything they’d learnt with Sarah at the CLC, who was incredibly impressed by how much they remembered. It was certainly a proud teacher moment!

Each child then worked on their own laptop to create a digital film. They designed backgrounds, drew characters, boats and even quills that could move around the screen. Using the keyboard, they typed up their stories and brought the events of 1666 to life through animation and text.

Before heading back to school, we were lucky enough to watch a few of the children’s finished films and they were amazing! The rest have been sent to us and we can’t wait to celebrate them all together in class.

It was a brilliant afternoon full of creativity, computing, and history ; a perfect example of learning coming to life!
