Today in Year One, we explored the British Value of the Rule of Law.
We learnt what this important value means and had thoughtful discussions about why rules matter in our school and community. We even came up with our own classroom rules, showing fantastic understanding and teamwork. To celebrate how brilliantly we followed the rules, we designed our own special badges — and wore them with pride! Later, we practised lining up and crossing the road safely, reinforcing the idea that rules help to keep us safe. We also explored the concept of fairness by looking at the scales of justice, helping us begin to understand how fairness plays a key part in the Rule of Law.
