This week in Reception we celebrated British Science Week, exploring the theme “What is your question?”. We talked about curiosity and how scientists learn about the world by asking questions and looking closely at what they notice. We enjoyed sharing our ideas and thinking about the different questions we might ask about animals.
We focused our learning on animals, where we explored different types and talked about their features. We discussed similarities and differences between animals and thought about where they might live.
We also created some wonderful animal artwork, showing great creativity and care. As part of our learning, we enjoyed matching animals, carefully looking at pictures and thinking about which animals belonged together.
It has been a fantastic week of curiosity and discovery, and we are proud of how thoughtful the children have been when asking questions and sharing their ideas.
