This week, Year 3 have started to look at the relationship between addition and subtraction. We have begun recapping with year 2 work, looking at adding and subtracting ones, tens and hundreds.
In English, we have begun are new class read, The Story of Tutankhamun. We started with reading comprehension on Tutankhamun and Howard Carter to give us background knowledge, then we played University Challenge, and the first team to 10 was the winner.
In Science, we took at more in-depth look at the human skeleton and we did an experiment, measuring the femur and our heights to determine if longer legs is equal to a taller person.
In Topic, we looked at the process of mummification and we drew a step by step poster, so we could copy the process.
On Wednesday the spent the morning with our guest athlete Frederick Afrifa, we spent time exercising with him and then we went into the hall for a special assembly, were we could ask his questions.
