Free Nursery and Reception Applications for this year and Sept 2024 welcome.

A very warm welcome to St Mary and St Pancras Church of England School.

We are a fully inclusive, dynamic and forward- thinking CE school within the London Diocesan Board for Schools, serving the diverse community of  Somers Town, Camden.

We believe that every child matters to God. Our distinct Christian values: friendship, forgiveness, endurance, respect, thankfulness and compassion, underpin everything that we do.   We work closely with St Mary’s Church and St Pancras New Church to ensure that our children’s spiritual development takes centre- stage, whatever their home faith. Our vision is to enable all children and adults in the school to flourish, in line with the Church of England’s Vision for Education; to be ‘Deeply Christian, Serving the Common Good’.

Pastoral care for our children and families is second to non. We have a talented and committed stable staff whom, without exception, go the extra mile every single day to ensure that the school is a happy and exciting place for children to learn and grow. Our children love coming to school  and our children achieve very well at every stage of their education with us. They are inquisitive, respectful learners and our school is calm and purposeful-so say our visitors and members of the public when we are out and about.  We couldn’t be prouder of them.

What makes us special? Our curriculum, based on the National Curriculum, is enriched to suit the specific needs of our children. We hold a Silver Award for previous work in Philosophy for Children and teach Personal, Social & Health Education. Teaching children how to stay safe is woven throughout our curriculum.   Music tuition is exemplary and we hold the Music Mark Accreditation. We hold Healthy Schools Silver status too and are a Silver STARS school. Most importantly though-we have the highest of expectations for our children and our families know this and work with us to achieve the very best for their children. We were the first school in Camden to be awarded ‘Asthma Friendly’ status and we are a ‘Trauma Informed Practice’ school.

If you want to see learning in action, go to the class pages which allow you to peek into our classrooms, as well as read the newsletters which do the same.

Admissions to Reception: We have places available in our Reception and Nursery class.   If you would like your child to attend our Reception or Nursery class, then please contact the school on admin@stmp.camden.sch.uk and we will guide you through the process.
