This week, year six learned that creating a self-portrait provides them a maximum amount of artistic freedom. In this session, the children were able to experiment with a variety of materials, practice different sketching techniques and used focal points to complete a self-portrait that will be used to create a mural that will represent the student body.
During this lesson, the children, through an art medium, could express who they are, how they wanted to present themselves and choose the colours that they wanted to use to represent themselves.
