Science Week in Year 3
This week we have been celebrating Science Week and the children have had a fantastic time exploring different investigations and asking curious questions about the world around them.
One of our favourite activities was designing and testing paper aeroplanes and helicopters. The children experimented with different designs to see which ones could stay in the air the longest and which ones could travel the furthest. They quickly discovered that making neat, careful folds helped their aeroplanes fly more smoothly and become more aerodynamic.
The classroom was full of excitement as we tested each design and discussed why some worked better than others. The children showed great curiosity, creativity and teamwork as they improved their designs.
We have also been busy creating science posters, sharing our own questions and ideas about the world. It has been wonderful to see the children thinking like young scientists and exploring topics they are curious about. It has been a fantastic week of investigation, creativity and discovery!
