This week in Nursery, we have been busy learning through play and carpet sessions.
Our focus story was Owl Babies The children loved joining in with the repetitive rhy, w and learning about where owls live.This story gave us lots of opportunities to talk about feelings, families and being together, just like the owl babies and their mother.
In Maths, we have been practising subitising to 3- recognising small quantities without counting. Through games, songs and activities, the children are developing early number sense in a fun a nd playful way.
For understanding the world, we have been thinking about where we live, who we live with, and using our senses to explore the world around us.
To end the week, we enjoyed making a cous cous sald with lots of vegetables, which smelled and tasted delicious.
