This week, we stepped into the story of Owl Babies and imagined we were Mummy Owl returning to her babies. With pencils and feathers in our hands, we swooped through the air and across the paper, making lines, circles and curves to show her journey home.
We loved bringing the story to life through movement. As we made our owl marks, we practised moving our hands and arms in different ways and discovered that our movements could leave a trail on the page. We talked about where Mummy Owl might fly and how the owl babies would feel when she came back. What a lovely way to share a story and begin to make our own marks!
