This week in Reception, we have been exploring where we live as part of our Understanding the World learning. We shared what we already knew about where we live, with some of us recognising that we live in London and others beginning to learn more about our local area. We talked about some famous London landmarks and shared other places that we know or have visited.
We then thought more closely about our own homes and discussed the different types of homes we might live in, including houses and flats. We talked about the different features we might see, such as windows, doors, roofs and balconies, before getting creative and making our very own houses! We loved sharing our ideas and learning more about the place we call home.
