This week in Year 1, the children have been busy finalising their beautiful clay tiles in Art. Over the past few lessons, the children carefully designed and created their own tiles using a range of techniques to shape, press and add texture to the clay.
This week, the children showed great creativity and resilience as they painted their finished pieces, thinking carefully about colour choices and detail to bring their designs to life. The class took pride in their work and demonstrated excellent focus and perseverance throughout the creative process.
Through this project, the children developed their fine motor skills, artistic confidence and ability to evaluate and improve their own work. We are so proud of the thoughtful and unique designs they have created, and the classroom has been full of excitement as the children admired each other’s finished pieces!
