In our nursery class, we have been exploring the beautiful story The Tiny Seed. This story helped us learn all about how seeds grow and change over time.
Watching Seeds Through the Seasons
We discovered what happens to seeds and trees throughout the four seasons of the year:
Spring – Seeds begin to wake up and start to grow.
Summer – Plants and trees grow tall and strong in the sunshine.
Autumn – Leaves change colour and fall from the trees.
Winter – Trees rest and wait for spring to come again.
Through stories, discussions, and activities, we learned how nature changes all year round.
Exploring Trees: Old and New
We also looked at the history of trees. We talked about:
How tiny seeds can grow into big, strong trees
The difference between young trees and very old trees
Why trees are important for our world
Creative Tree Decorating
To bring our learning to life, we decorated trees to show how they change in each season. We used:
Bright greens for spring leaves
Warm colours for autumn
Bare branches and snow for winter
Full, leafy trees for summer
Our artwork helped us understand and remember the changes trees go through.
