Year 1 have begun their exciting art project by exploring a range of animal sculptures found across London. This has provided a meaningful context for their upcoming work in clay, where they will design and create their own sculptures.
They created a double page spread to record their learning, identifying the materials used by artists and discussing the purpose of each sculpture. Through this, Year 1 have started to develop their understanding of sculpture as a form of artistic expression.
