This week we really got into the debating spirit, as we immersed ourselves into the story of Little Red Riding Hood and debated whether we believed Little Red to be irresponsible and should feel bad for her actions or whether she was as responsible as she could be at her young age. We spoke about her parenting and how this could’ve affected her actions but also about stranger danger and using your common sense! Not only did we learn how to debate, we also looked at different sentence stems we could use to help our oracy when speaking. We focused on not only speaking, but listening and then responding. It was a success!
