This week, we have been busy designing and making our very own worry creatures. We began by talking about what worries are and how they can make us feel, linking to our PSHE learning about recognising and managing emotions. We shared our ideas and carefully designed our creatures, thinking about what they might look like and how they could help us.

We then used a range of materials to bring our designs to life, developing our fine motor skills through cutting, joining and simple sewing. We showed fantastic resilience and independence as we created our worry creatures, taking great care and pride in our work.

We talked about how our worry creatures can “eat” our worries to help us feel better, supporting our emotional wellbeing and encouraging us to talk about our feelings. We are so proud of what we have created!
