Year 1 have been thoroughly enjoying their Design and Technology project, where they have been designing and making their own puppets. The children explored a range of materials, focusing on felt, and developed their understanding of different joining techniques, including sewing and gluing. They showed great care and resilience as they practised these skills, refining their work to create bright, vibrant and durable puppets.
Throughout the project, pupils were encouraged to think creatively, make purposeful design choices and evaluate their work, linking closely to the Design and Technology curriculum. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they worked both independently and collaboratively to bring their ideas to life.
