This week in Reception we celebrated World Book Day, and everyone was incredibly creative and enthusiastic. The children took part in a range of wonderful activities throughout the day, including making collages, painting their favourite book characters and designing their own bookmarks. It was lovely to see the children talking about the stories they enjoy and expressing their ideas through art and creativity.
We also had the opportunity to choose a book to take home and keep, which created lots of excitement and encouraged our love of reading beyond the classroom. Throughout the day we spent time listening to different stories together and sharing our favourite parts, which helped to build our enjoyment of books and storytelling.
It was a fantastic day filled with imagination, creativity and a real celebration of reading in Reception.
