Our nursery children had a wonderful time exploring art through dots while learning about Pointillism, made famous by the artist Georges Seurat.
We began by using our fingers to make colourful dots, helping the children experience how artists can create pictures using small marks.
Next, the children used cotton buds to carefully add more dots, developing their fine motor skills and control.
Finally, we explored colour mixing by using the primary colours to create new colours, which the children used to paint beautiful rainbow pictures.
This creative activity encouraged curiosity, experimentation, and confidence while introducing the children to a new artistic style in a fun and engaging way.
