Year 4 had an exciting geography workshop led by the Port of London Authority. We learned all about the waterways of the world and discovered why rivers and canals are so important. They help people travel, transport goods, and support plants and animals. We also focused on our local river, the River Thames. We learned how it has been used in the past and why it is still important today. The workshop helped us understand how our actions can affect the river and what we can do to look after it, such as reducing litter and protecting wildlife.
