The Naughty Bus had been up to his usual mischievous behaviour! After causing chaos in the Reception classroom, he drove off and was later discovered at the bottom of our school pond. From his watery hiding place, the Naughty Bus sent messages promising to improve his behaviour if he was rescued.

Showing kindness and teamwork, the children worked together to rescue him. However, to help the Naughty Bus reflect on his actions, he was temporarily “trapped” among one of his most feared creatures — dinosaurs!

While the Naughty Bus was thinking carefully about his choices, the children wrote meaningful sentences to help him become a better bus. These included thoughtful reminders such as “You need to be kind” and “You need to open your doors for passengers.”

This engaging activity supported early writing, sentence construction, and discussions around behaviour, kindness, and responsibility. Let’s hope the Naughty Bus has taken time to reflect on his actions over the weekend!
