This week, year six have finished their D.T. diorama designs and are ready to begin the construction of their prototype toy. During the designing process, our students described the order of steps that they needed to complete and worked within a group so that they could anticipated possible problems that could occur during the building process.

Throughout the lesson, we looked at a variety of methods to incorporate pulley systems so that our toys could have moving parts. We also had to measure all of the sections of our boxes so that we could construct accurate backgrounds and props. Now that we have drawn out our designs, the next step is to construct our toys to a targeted age group.
