Year 2 have enjoyed a truly festive and fulfilling week. The Nativity rehearsals clearly paid off with a delightful performance at St Mary’s Church. Our Year 2 children shared the story with confidence and warmth showcasing their acting skills while the rest of the school supported them by singing beautifully to bring this special story to life.
We also created Christingles for the service resulting in a deeply moving and memorable moment as the whole school held their lit Christingles and sang the much-loved Candle Song. The atmosphere was one of awe and reflection. Father Paschal spoke to the children and staff reminding us that even in a world where there are challenges moments like these highlight the goodness kindness and hope that exist within our community.
On Wednesday the festive fun continued with Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas lunch. The children thoroughly enjoyed pulling crackers sharing jokes and celebrating together during a joyful and laughter-filled meal.
