This week in Reception, we had our very own Toy Swap!
We brought in toys we do not play with anymore and chose a new one to take home. Before we swapped, we wrote little messages to the new owners of our toys. We enjoyed telling them what our toy can do, why we liked it, or how to look after it.
We talked about how swapping toys means they do not get thrown away and can make someone else happy. We learned that looking after our things – and our world – can be as simple as sharing and reusing.
We were very excited to read the messages left for us and to explore our “new-to-us” toys. It felt like a big, happy circle of sharing, caring and giving our old toys a new adventure!
